Dominican International School Kaohsiung has a full-time Chinese Teacher position available for a 31 July 2020 start. Student grade levels include Upper Elementary and Middle School students (Grades 5-8, Ages 11-14). Successful candidates must have a Bachelor Degree, Teaching Certificate, experience in teaching both native and non-native Chinese learners using BPMF ㄅㄆㄇㄈ (注音) and PinYin (拼音), and satisfactory English skills to translate and communicate across languages. Also, a dedicated team spirit and a healthy respect for the Catholic faith is needed. Native Chinese speaking candidates preferred. Course content is based on the Kang Shuan textbook series (康軒) and follows the school’s Chinese language curriculum standards. Remuneration is based on qualifications and experience.
