I am a native English-speaking graduate and UK citizen, holding both a BSc and MSc degree. I have a real desire to improve the lives of others by teaching English, both younger and older students, building on recent experiences working throughout Southern Africa as a Development Consultant. Through this, other work and volunteering experiences to date, I have enjoyed interacting with all sorts of people and working under pressure. I have developed skills in teaching through providing practical training to non-English speakers, both as a mentor to colleagues, and to. Owing to a desire to work in a different setting and to focus my efforts on helping others to achieve success in their English learning I successfully completed my 168-hour Level 5 TEFL Certificate with The TEFL Academy UK this year. I have a strong track record, building on my strong command of spoken and written English communication, listening skills, high computer literacy, patience and ability to show empathy in order to develop good relationships with those I work with. I hope to bring my self-confident and friendly enthusiasm to any role and look forward to creating exciting and engaging lessons to motivate my students and help them to learn effectively.
