To whom it may concern, My name is Tristan van Rooyen, A newly graduated Rhodes University student and aspiring English teacher. I am wanting to move to Taiwan this year with my three good friends, two of which, are engaged to one another and both have over 6 months of teaching experience individually. All four of us have Bachelor Degrees, obtained and two of us are in the process of obtaining Tefl courses that are 140 hours+ the other two already have theirs. We are able to start working by April/May this year. I myself have taken part in Service-learning (teaching outsiders the skills and knowledge I have learned in my studies) and am more than capable of teaching the English language as it is my first language. I speak English fluently as well as have studied the actual language itself in depth at University level, studying subjects such as linguistics, philosophy and Journalism and media studies. I also have studied at an English Medium university and am currently finishing up my 180 hour TEFL course through I-to-I. My friends and I would like to live in the same area or hopefully work for the same school/ branch, although we know this is unlikely.
