Hello everyone! My name is Alec, and I am a U.S citizen looking to find a job as an ESL teacher in Taiwan. I have a year of teaching experience at an English center in Vietnam and one year of experience teaching math and science in the Vietnamese public school system. In addition, I have a year of tutoring experience in Beijing, China, which I did while studying abroad at Beijing University. With the school year coming to a close, I would like to branch out and try to teach in Taiwan. I have a bachelor's degree in History, a 120 hour TESOL that was done in-person in Vietnam, and the ability to have basic communication in Mandarin. I am currently located in Vietnam, which has done a great job at handling the COVID-19 situation. For that reason, I would not want to return to the United States to apply for a job in Taiwan.
