I am Kareen Labita. I finished Bachelor of Secondary Education with Mathematics as my field of specialization at Leyte Normal University (LNU) Tacloban City, Philippines. I have successfully completed a 120-hour complete course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with International TEFL and TESOL Training (ITTT). My teaching expertise as a Mathematics teacher was refined in my six (6) years of teaching experience, first in a private institution then later in the Department of Education (DepEd). In detail, I taught one (1) year in the Junior High School (JHS) and five (5) years in the Senior High School. Besides teaching Math, I was also exposed to teaching English as I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at QQ English in Cebu City, Philippines. For two (2) years, I imparted the basic structures in English to Japanese, Chinese, and Taiwanese students. This particular experience certainly propelled me to become a multicultural teacher. Apart from the usual teaching in the classroom, I served as the Grade 12 Senior High School Coordinator and Coach of students in various Mathematics tilts organized by the Department of Education. The many trainings and seminars on various teaching methodologies that I have attended unswervingly nurtured my professional and personal growth. Further, the educational experiences that I have catapulted me to become the best in terms of utilizing and devising a variety of effective teaching strategies for my students. I am looking for a full-time teaching position.
