Throughout my years of teaching professionally, I have gained a lot of expertise in teaching English. I have worked as an ESL teacher in Ecuador for over three years. I am a certified ESL teacher with both Cambridge FCE and CELTA certificates. I also have a Bsc in computer science and an MSc in management information systems. I try to improve myself by learning from my students, co-teachers and staying up to date with new methods of teaching by attending various seminars like the Oxford and Cambridge university press professional seminars and workshops. In my previous English teacher position, I handled tasks very similar to what you outlined in your job ad. In 2017, I worked full time with the ministry of education in Ecuador teaching basic and high school to help improve the level of English in the public schools. I collaborated with other languages (Spanish) teachers to create a flexible curriculum and a positive learning environment for my students to take part in various school activities, projects, exhibitions, and performances to showcase their culture and values. I worked in a private institution teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults who went ahead to pass their A1 to B2 Cambridge and Aptis English test. I have also worked in a private school teaching basic school (1st grade to 7th grade), Jr high, and Senor high both Online and In-person. I have worked in 10 to 30 student classrooms managing my class efficiently by implementing the learning standards, rules, and regulations of the school. I understand that the position requires an ability to form good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, as well as being independent, self-starting, and highly motivated. I strive to interact with every student and take great interest in helping students establish their personal, vocational, and academic goals. By interacting with my students, co-teachers and coordinator, I am able to assess their needs and adapt my lesson plans to suit the needs of students. I have one on one special tutorials with students having difficulties. I like to use technology such as platforms, online games etc for reading, writing, speaking and listening, I also use hands-on approaches through projects.
