Good day! Choicest Greetings! I am MARK JULIUS FUENTES, immensely delighted to be imparting my drive and passion towards enriching children’s English proficiency whilst honing their individuality holistically. Owing it to the genuine teaching craft that has changed my life when I felt I was a nobody, my teachers brought up a new phoenix of hope and identity towards personal quest for excellence and triumph now as a professional teacher myself. Yes, I am and still will do continue the domino effect being blessed to bless other children too. Gratefully, I behold the honor to be awarded as the Most Outstanding Teacher in the Philippines in the year 2017 and other regionwide Hall of Fame award-giving bodies in the education sector. These awards are an aftermath to which I consider my ministry - my sole reason, a heartbeat of my being why I am called for to be a teacher. Yes, I see it more of a responsibility and accountability rather than glory and personal gain. This is the very reason why I uphold a master’s degree as Master of Arts Major in Educational Management and currently on my second Masters Degree in English Language Education. For fifteen (15) teaching years, being a multi-awarded English Language advocate, a prolific Speech Communication activist, a triumphant and revolutionary practitioner of Developmental Writing along Literary feats designed for children, teaching English is my lifestyle - I exist to see a single child develop a sense of being where he or she can conquer the universe through English competencies he possesses through my mentorship the way I did to many of children who are now globally competitive. Not just to highlight that English is my native and first language at home and workplace, I am a singer and an artisan who has mad love for crafts, theatricals, radio and TV newscasting who can turn a classroom into different limitless realities that can inspire children to dream big. More so, I regard my children as pawns - just like in a chess game - that I should never underestimate them because all of them are capable, having the great potential of becoming a queen. This rings true when I had the opportunity to teach in a very small barrio, a small community school in a distant barangay where less fortunate children were trained by me in radio broadcasting which later on been excelling not just in our city, not just in our region, but the whole country of the Philippines. Aside from the competence that I maneuver in my class, character building is my top priority. Personally, I imbibe my virtue that the height of intelligence is summed up by one’s character. Therefore, excellence and character is my teaching craft. By these envision Taiwanese children to be competent and responsible English speaking community.
