My name is Grace Alison M. Manglallan from the Philippines and I am 26 years old. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education major in English. I have been teaching for five years, where for one year I handled English Subject of Junior High School and now I am a college instructor at a local state college where I am handling English courses that focus on Academic and Professional purposes and Second Language Pedagogy. I also have experience teaching English to children because I participate in tutoring when I have free time. Recently, I take part in the community outreach project of our school where I was given the task to conduct Remedial English and Reading Enhancement Classes to young learners. Generally, I like to make my class fun, interactive and informational by using songs, stories, and activities based on real life situations and experiences because I believe that when students are enjoying learning the more that they will learn and they will develop a better appreciation of the second language if they can see that this is connected to our real life. I want to teach English in Taiwan because I came across videos of English Teachers there and it seems that they are having so much fun handling the classes and I want to experience that as well and I believe that this will help me grow into a better teacher.
