I graduated at Faculty of Science and Mathematics where I obtained bachelor and master’s degree in science, field of study – Biology. After school I started my career as a teacher, first as a teacher of science and biology in a middle school in Serbia (Europe) and then as a teacher of science and biology in a high school and as a homeroom teacher in Kuwait (Kuwait Academy Bilingual School, A’Takamul International School and Global Bilingual Academy). During my teaching work I tried to transfer my knowledge, through my lessons, laboratory work, extracurricular activities, as well as a positive attitude towards learning. In teaching, I try to encourage students to think critically, use new technologies in learning, to talk about new scientific knowledge, since the world has changed a lot in the last few years. Some of my responsibilities are to prepare lessons, presentations, quizzes, tests, homework, work on the curriculum, monthly and weekly reports, sending reports to parents on children's progress. Working in a different cultural environment has strengthened my teaching skills, working with colleagues from other countries has helped me to develop different teaching techniques and strategies. I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others. Every classroom has its own unique community; my role as the teacher will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the students' lives. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning. Teaching is a process of learning from your students, colleagues, parents, and the community. This is a lifelong process where you learn new strategies, new ideas, and new philosophies. Over time, my educational philosophy may change, and that's okay. That just means that I have grown and learned new things. I learn to be flexible in my methodology and approach, to deal with students and learning strategies, and to communicate better every time I teach. I learn that every student has a story. I learn to turn my devotion and dedication into a fun activity for the students. I receive as much as I give. I learn every day that teaching is a learning experience.
