I am Hazel M. Mendoza, 24 years of age living in the Philippines. I am a very collaborative person and I love trying and exploring new things. I graduated in Batangas State University on August 09, 2022 with the Bachelor of Development Communication and gained my Certification of Teaching Program on December 2022 at University of Batangas. On my college years we had a subject wherein we were tasked to do community service. I took it as an opportunity to conduct informal teaching among young children. Because of this, I convinced my classmates to create a teaching program for kindergarten. It turned out to be fulfilling and so much fun. We prepared lots of exciting and trendy activities for the kids where they both learned and had fun at the same time. Throughout that semester that I had been with kids, I learned a lot – I learned to empathize with them, hence I discovered not a few techniques and strategies on how to motivate and inspire them to keep them actively engaged in every lesson. I became more equipped to cope with pupils with different types of personalities as I discovered that appreciating the uniqueness of each child is the key to get their respect and attention. I realized that it is very important to create a conducive learning environment to make learning enjoyable, fruitful, and relevant for students. As I have already experienced handling children and have actually enjoyed being with them, I believe that I am good in coping with kids. One thing more, I am at my best when I communicate with, influence, or assist others. Also, I possess artistic qualities, which include creativity, originality, and a capacity for self-expression. I am confident that I am effective in the field of teaching. First and foremost, patience is the most important quality that every teacher should have. As for me, I can handle young children's nonstop talking and energy without losing my patience.
