I finished Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 at University of Cebu and pursued Certificate in Teaching Program at Cebu Technological University in 2012. Luckily, I was able to pass both Nursing Licensure Exam and the Licensure Examination for Teachers. I worked as an ESL Teacher for 8 years in one of the biggest and most established school in my country. I teach English to second language learners like Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese. I help them in improving their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Also, I teach special programs in our school like TOEIC, Business English, and other related courses. Not only adults, I also teach English to kids ages 5-15 years old. Like, pronunciation, vocabulary and conversational topics. At present, I work as an Assistant Teacher here in United Arab Emirates for five years both Ministry of Education and Private School in a Kindergarten School. I was assigned in both KG 1 and KG 2. As a teacher assistant, my duties and responsibilities include getting the classroom ready for lesson, listening to children read and telling them English stories, helping children who need extra support to complete the task, helping teachers to plan learning activities and daily lessons for the students. Supporting teachers in managing class behaviors, supervising group activities, clearing away materials and equipment after lessons, taking part in training, carrying out administrative task like doing the attendance and sending the absence note to the parents. As a teacher assistant it is my goal to help students comprehend the language and improve their English ability. Although English is not their first language, I always make sure that the kids understand the lesson in the easiest way.
