I am Ms. Rose Ann Nojor Traqueña, 28 years of age, a graduate of Philippine Normal University. I wish to apply as an elementary English teacher in Taiwan. I finished Bachelor of Elementary Education with concentration in General Education 2012 as an outstanding graduate having the Citation in Research and Citation in Internship Award. I know that there is always a learning opportunity for me to grow in the profession. With this in mind, I completed the Academic requirements (CARMAED) a master’s degree major in Education Management at Marinduque State College. At present, I am a teacher at Lagyo Elementary School in Gumaca, Quezon, handling English for Grade Six Learners. I also taught at Dr. Panda Language Academy as an ESL teacher for two years. I have been teaching for seven years in total. Having been an ESL teacher for two years for Taiwanese kids and adults, I am so interested in experiencing different cultures and traditions of the Taiwanese people. Being their online teacher, I found them so respectful and easy to get along with, that earns my love and respect for them even more. Interacting with people of a different race would give me a wider understanding of how people on the other side of the globe live each day. Discovering and having meaningful encounters with people of different cultural backgrounds can provide me valuable insights about the meaning and purpose of life worthy of sharing to other people. Thus, learning to respect their norms and beliefs will be the greatest form of friendship I could offer.
