With over three years of teaching experience, including high school and college-level courses, I am eager to bring my passion for education and my diverse background to your esteemed institution. My teaching journey has encompassed various subjects, including Advanced English and Human Body Care at the high school level, as well as college-level courses such as Medical English, Introduction to Interpreting, and Translation into a Second Language. These experiences have sharpened my pedagogical skills, allowing me to cater to a wide range of learning needs and styles. Teaching at both high school and college levels has also nurtured my adaptability, emphasizing the importance of connecting with students to facilitate effective learning. In addition to my teaching background, my extensive career as a freelance interpreter and translator has honed my communication skills and cultural sensitivity. I have navigated diverse fields, from Medicine to Business, gaining a profound understanding of effective cross-lingual communication. This background equips me with a unique perspective on language acquisition and pedagogy. My dedication to professional growth is evident through my academic achievements, including a Master's Degree in Translation and Interpretation, a medical degree, a legal translation certification, and active participation in linguistics seminars and conferences. Moreover, I have shared insights as a guest speaker at various seminars, addressing the challenges faced by linguists, including the topic of mental health within the profession. In addition to my passion for teaching, I am also deeply interested in immersing myself in the rich cultural and linguistic tapestry of Taiwan. With a keen desire to learn Mandarin, I plan to enroll in a regular course at a university's language center. My intention is to stay in Taiwan for at least a year. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to me that the role I undertake allows me the flexibility to both work as a dedicated English teacher and pursue my studies diligently.
