Hello, my name is Jonah. I am a 26-year-old from the Philippines currently working as a science teacher in an international school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accredited by Cognia and using an American curriculum. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Major in Biological Sciences. Prior to this, I gained three years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Philippines. It was a fulfilling experience that allowed me to enhance my communication skills and engage with diverse learners. With almost 5 years of teaching experience. I believe that, as an educator, I play a crucial role in shaping the younger generation to become responsible citizens and contributors to society's growth and development. One of my guiding principles is John Dewey's theory of learning by doing, which emphasizes student engagement through hands-on, task-oriented educational processes. I strongly believe that by actively participating in their learning, students gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter and can apply it in their future lives.
