Hello. My name is Mamakhaleng Cecilia Maphokoane. I am 23. I am from Lesotho, a country where English is an official language of instruction. My hobbies includes camping, playing sports, particularly football and tennis, traveling and reading. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Special Education, 5 coursera certificates and a 120 hour TEFL certificate. As part of my program, I worked as an intern teacher at Life High School, where I gained knowledge and skills such as good communication skills, classroom management, decision making and problem solving skills which I believe are very crucial to schools. I am also working at an informal setting (Private tutoring) where I provide English language and special education extra classes to all learners of ages in my community. My teaching philosophy is that learners are unique. Simply put, learners with disabilities are just competent as learners without disabilities, therefore as a teacher you should be able to treat learners equally regardless of their backgrounds, race and disabilities. You should also be able to accommodate each learners' needs. My teaching approach includes a learner-centred approach in an inclusive classroom environment where learners are engaged in fun activities. I am interested in ESL teaching because I would like to experience and a explore different approaches and new curriculums from a different country.
