Hi there! My name is Amy, I am a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines. I have been teaching elementary and high school levels both in a classroom and non-classroom set up for about 4 years. I worked as a classroom teacher here in my country for 1 year, where I handled students with beginner skills in English. We are helping them gain and develop their confidence by helping them learn how to speak the English Language both inside and outside the school campus. One of many qualifications that make me qualified for the role of an English teacher is my love for kids. I love to help kids learn, I share my skills,knowledge and techniques in order to help them learn English. I knew ever since when I was in elementary that teaching was my calling. Although, I was working in an office back in 2016, I still managed to give my weekends through a volunteer teaching work. I volunteered as kid's teacher from 2016-2020 in Dubai UAE where I handled children coming from different nationalities in all ages. This volunteer teaching work is done on a weekly basis. The set up is similar to the actual classroom set up, where in every session is composed of 20-30 students that includes the weekly topic, discussion, activities and video presentations. For me, that was one of my greatest achievements when it comes to my teaching journey because I was able to help kids learned for free. It made me so happy because I knew I was doing it all out of love and passion. I wish I will get the chance to share my skills and knowledge to teach kids in Taiwan. I will be very happy to be part of a learner's journey in learning English. When it comes to my teaching style,I will use a student-centered approach. Given the fact that students have different levels in learning, as a teacher, I will encourage inclusivity in learning by making sure that my students will get fair treatment, so that no one will left behind.
