I am Rudy James O. Japen, and I am applying as an English Instructor. Ever since I travelled to Taiwan last July 2023, I must say, I fell in love with the country, the people, and most of all, the countless opportunities. I am mighty excited to be a part of another school, to further experience honing my skills and talents through a new environment. I have been an English and Communication Teacher in Santa Lucia Catholic School, Inc. (you can check the school’s page on Facebook) for 10 years. Throughout my tutelage, I had been appointed as an Activity Coordinator in my third year, then promoted as an Academic Coordinator in my fifth year onwards. I have been a key representative for the school whenever there are assemblies and conferences, be it local, regional or even at the national level. I even became the official spokesperson of the school to the stakeholders for 5 years. With these capabilities, I believe that I have the means to be a part of your institution, in shaping the minds of students, specifically in refining the English language. Furthermore, I am musically inclined. As a matter of fact, I am a choir member in our local Church and I had been appointed as the Choir Master in my previous school. The school choir not only performed inside the school but also in the church as well as in our locality. I am also adept in teaching Media and Information Literacy, as well as an active member of the Church, and have been a youth minister for more than a decade now. One thing you should know about me is that I have a minor disability, a neglected knee dislocation, nonetheless, I can walk, run, and move normally like any other teacher. Being exposed to different circumstances in my special condition improved my professional and social growth, thus I am enthusiastically hoping for a very positive response towards my application.
