My name is Atheelah Behardien. I am a native English speaker born in South Africa. I have a passion for English and teaching and hope to share this passion with my students as I teach them. I hold a Bachelors degree in Linguistics and have just completed my honors in the same field. I have experience tutoring at university and teaching online. I love spending time with my family and friends and being outdoors. I believe that having some downtime and maintaining a work life balance is important and I strive to give my all in both aspects. I also enjoy painting, reading, watching TV and learning mandarin in my past time. I also believe that each student learns differently and always keep this in mind when teaching my students and that rules are an important part of a successful classroom. I am looking to teach at a school in China, to explore my passion and learn and experience the Chinese culture.
