I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education degree at Saint Louis University, Baguio City. On April 15, 2014, I graduated Cum Laude with a weighted average of 89.3910% and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)-Secondary Level in October 2014, with a general weighted average of 80.80%. On January 23, 2025, I will graduate with a Master’s Degree in Language Education from the same institution mentioned above. Currently, I am working on publishing my thesis, entitled “Affordances of Subtitles in K-Drama Series in Acquiring English as a Second Language,” in an international journal to serve as a reference for other researchers. When I was in college, I had undergone my practice teaching program in both private and public schools which helped me improve my work ethics, skills and strong devotion to educate children from all walks of life. In addition, I also learned a lot from my supervising teachers who taught me various teaching strategies and techniques which I am utilizing in my classes nowadays. I’ve taught English and Literature in the Philippines for six years. For nearly three years now, I am passionately devoting myself in sharing my knowledge and experiences to the high school students of Badan Pendidikan Kristen - Penabur Cirebon (one of the most prestigious Christian schools in Indonesia). With experience teaching ESL to Grade 7-12 students using the Pearson and IGCSE Curriculum, as well as preparing Grade 10-12 students for the IELTS exam, I have developed a strong ability to cater to diverse learning needs and foster student success. My background in utilizing these frameworks effectively ensures that students achieve their academic goals while building critical language skills. Aside from helping them improve their English communication skills, I also show to my students that I am worth emulating as a teacher, as an individual, as a member of the society and as a son of God. I inspire them to be the best they can be at all times as well.
