My name is Ed Merin Rodriguez, and I am from Davao de Oro, Philippines. With over a decade of experience teaching English to secondary-level students in both the Philippines and Thailand, I bring a strong background in education, a deep commitment to student development, and a passion for creating dynamic and inclusive learning environments. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English, from Davao del Norte State College. In addition, I have earned a TESOL/TEFL certification, which has enhanced my ability to teach English effectively to non-native speakers. I also possess a professional teaching license in the Philippines and a teaching license in Thailand, which I successfully renewed earlier this year. For nearly 11 years, I have taught Matthayom-level students (Grades 7–12) in the English Program. My experience has allowed me to develop engaging and interactive lessons tailored to various learning styles. I take pride in fostering a classroom environment where students feel encouraged to build confidence, improve their communication skills, and become independent learners. My approach emphasizes patience, clarity, and consistent support, ensuring that each student fully understands the lessons and has the opportunity to thrive. Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it is a calling. I believe that education is the foundation for a better future, and it brings me great fulfillment to witness my students grow both academically and personally. I am particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity to join any school community or institution that shares a commitment to educational excellence and holistic student development.
