Greetings I am Humbulani Ncube (Teacher Lani) from South Africa. I am 25 years old. I have recently been working as an English teacher in South Korea and I believe my experience and passion for teaching make me a good fit for any team. I have been teaching ESL for the past two years in Korea teaching children of ages 6 to 12. My first job was at SLP Institute, where I taught students of different ages and helped with curriculum and class management. After that, I worked at Yulgok Leaders Language Academy as a homeroom and primary English teacher for the Basic Group. There, I was responsible for lesson planning, classroom teaching, looking after my students, and working with other teachers to help the children improve and feel supported. I have also taught adult classes in my spare time. Before coming to Korea, I worked as a tutor and childminder in South Africa, and also as an assistant teacher at a primary school. I understand how to connect with young learners and create a positive, engaging classroom. I also hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate, which helped me prepare for teaching English as a foreign language. I studied Film and Television at university, and I love using storytelling and creative methods in my lessons. I believe learning should be interesting and fun, and I always try to make my students feel comfortable and motivated. I am a hard-working, adaptable person and I enjoy being part of a team. I am ready to start immediately and I would be very happy to bring my energy and skills to any school.
